16 blades = Very narrow gaps - dense arrangement of blades. Suitable for coarse and medium hair with undercoat. 

We recommend: Be extra careful. We comb the entire body - hips, stomach, buttocks, chest, legs. We comb the back last.

Available sizes:

8 blades = wide gaps. Suitable for thick coat with undercoat, as well as coarse trimming coat. E.g. Border collie, border terrier, western, schnauzer, etc.

9 blades = Wide gaps between the blades. Suitable for thick or wavy coarse coat with undercoat. E.g. Bobtail, Laekenois, Airedale Terrier, Russian Terrier, Curly Coated Retriever etc.

12 blades = Narrow blade spacing. Suitable for dogs with coarse trim coat or silky coat with undercoat. E.g. Cavalier, Cocker Spaniel, MMO, VMO, English and Irish Setter, Brittany, etc.

16 blades = Very narrow gaps - dense arrangement of blades. Suitable for rough-coated dogs . For example: Fox Terrier, Wire-Coated Dachshund, Bohemian Bearded Collie, Schnauzer, Irish Wolfhound

20 blades = Recommended for use on schnauzers, terriers or for straightening the hair on the back of a cocker spaniel, retriever
