Borzoi is a very elegant and sensitive breed, and its transformation can take up to 4 hours. Moreover, it requires patience and perhaps even earplugs, as a Borzoi is a dog that will gladly accompany your efforts with singing and howling.
First, we trimmed his nails with special clippers Showtech , which we highly recommend. This breed, in particular, always has nails that are too long .
follows a three-step mythology.
First, we use the cleansing shampoo Burbur all , then we opted for the grapefruit nourishing shampoo Pompelmo Rosa and finally, a nourishing mask is a must. I prefer my own recipe:
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 4 tablespoons pH balancing conditioner
- 1 tablespoon Pek conditioner
- 6 drops ginkgo oil
- 3 tablespoons Arancia moisturizing mask
- 3 tablespoons mint moisturizing mask
Don't forget that each shampoo should act for at least 3 minutes, and the mask for at least 10 minutes.
We apply it using our Magic towel, then add keratin to the coat and spray on conditioner. Be careful around the ears and nose!
✅For Borzois, a regular hairdryer is not enough; high-pressure force is needed.
✅ Blow-dry carefully and always in the direction of hair growth.
Finally, I trim the paws with round-tipped scissors and use thinning shears for between the toes. In the front, a C-shape, and the heel short. The body and hindquarters of the Borzoi are trimmed only slightly , the area behind the ears a maximum of 1.5 cm.
The Borzoi's coat must appear soft, like light, semi-wavy feathers.
NEVER SHAVE WITH CLIPPERS!
✅ A final trick – spray an anti-static spray onto a metal comb and very gently comb through the coat (not too much, so it doesn't look greasy).
Finish with a touch of dog perfume .
